How to Access a lab computer running macOS from your personal computer running Mac OS
Launch Cisco AnyConnect VPN and
log in
. Directions can be found under the

Remember that a VPN connection is required to access most on-campus services, including labs and classrooms.
Open a Web Browser and navigate to
https://keyserver.bowdoin.edu
When prompted log in with your Bowdoin username and password.
If this is your first time logging in you may get an error. This is because Keyserver has to build the account. Please try and log in again.
Click on
Maps
on the left hand side.
Click on
Computer Labs.Mac OS
or
Computer Labs.Digital Media Lab
.
Computers are named based on their location on campus.
Find the computer you want to connect to and click on Connect on the right hand side.
If Prompted Click Allow
Copy the address as it mentions in the dialog box
Do a Spotlight search for Screen Sharing and open the Screen Sharing app
Paste the address you copied into the "Connect To:" field and click Connect
Enter your Bowdoin Username and Password and click Sign In.
When the Desktop appears you are connected to the computer.
Log in as you normally would if you were sitting at the computer.

Open a Web Browser and navigate to
https://keyserver.bowdoin.edu
When prompted log in with your Bowdoin username and password.
Click on Maps on the left hand side.
Click on Computer Labs.Mac OS or Computer Labs.Digital Media Lab
Computers are named based on their location on campus.
Find the computer you want to connect to and copy the IP address on the right hand side.
Open VNC Viewer from the Start Menu, Real VNC, VNC Viewer.
Paste or type in the IP address at the top of the windows next to VNC connect and then press enter.
When prompted about an Insecure Connection click continue.
Enter your Bowdoin username and your Bowdoin password and click OK.
When the Desktop appears you are connected to the computer.
Log in as you normally would if you were sitting at the computer.
How to Access a lab computer running Mac OS from your personal iPad
Download and install VNC viewer from either the Self Service app or the App Store.
Launch Cisco AnyConnect VPN and
log in

Open a Web Browser and navigate to

When prompted log in with your Bowdoin username and password.
Tap on Maps on the left hand side.
Tap on Computer Labs.Mac OS or Computer Labs.Digital Media Lab
Computers are named based on their location on campus.
Find the computer you want to connect to and tap connect on the right hand side.
When prompted to open in "VNC Viewer" tap Open.
When prompted to "Continue Connecting?" tap OK.
When prompted about an Insecure Connection tap Continue.
Enter your Bowdoin username and your Bowdoin password and tap Continue.
When the Desktop appears you are connected to the computer.
Log in as you normally would if you were sitting at the computer.
