Overview of Process
A student’s Academic Progress Report provides the academic requirements for their Program(s) of Study and their progress toward completion. Advisors, Department Chairs, Academic Department Coordinators (ADCs), and Office of Registrar Staff can view a student’s Academic Progress Report from the student’s profile.
View the Academic Progress Report
- Type student: followed by the student’s name into the Workday Global Search Bar and press Enter or Return on your keyboard.

Note: The BOW STU Find Academic Records report can also be used to search for a student and navigate to their student profile.
- Select the Student’s Name to view their profile.
Note: In order to see and select Student results, make sure to type student: before the student’s name or have Student as a saved category. If you do not, you may pull student and employee profiles for your search. To learn more about finding students in Workday or to set up Student as a saved category, refer to the Finding Students and Student Profile Overview.
- The student profile opens. Click the Academics tab.

- Click the Academic Progress sub-tab. The student’s Academic Progress report displays.
- Within this report, you can view:
- The student’s cumulative GPA.
- The student’s specific program of study GPA and the effective date of the requirements used
- All requirements for each program of study.
- Progress made toward satisfying the requirements (Not Satisfied, In Progress, Satisfied).
- Remaining courses within the requirement, if Not Satisfied or In Progress.
- Specific course(s) taken to satisfy the requirements, academic period the course was taken, credits, and grade.
- In progress courses will show as being used to fulfill the requirement but labeled as In Progress with no grade.
- Transfer credits, AP/IB test credit, course repeats and requirement overrides (waivers/substitutions) will also be indicated

- Click the hyperlinked number next to Unused Registrations for a list of courses taken that did not meet a specific requirement, if applicable (i.e., Received an F grade, Transfer Credit).

- Click the hyperlinked Requirement to view more detail on the course(s) that will fulfill the requirement.

- To filter the Academic Progress Report to see how many In Progress and Not Satisfied academic requirements a student has remaining:
- Select the Status column header.
- Select Not Satisfied and In Progress from the Value drop-down.
- Click Filter.

- To filter even further to only see remaining academic requirements:
- Select the Remaining column header.
- In the Filter Condition drop-down, select not equal to.
- In the Value field, type “ ”.
- Click Filter.

Launch Academic Progress Evaluation
For a student who is your advisee, use the Launch Academic Progress Evaluation task to re-evaluate a student’s academic progress after a change has been made such as a grade add/adjustment.
- From the student’s profile, click the Actions button.
- Hover your mouse over the Advising section and click the Launch Academic Progress Evaluation task.
Note: This task can also be launched from the Workday Global Search Bar and the BOW STU Advising Dashboard.

- Check the Confirm box and click OK.
Note: You can also check the Evaluate All Programs of Study box to confirm if you want to update the student's entire academic record. This may include programs of study with Completed, Dismissed, Suspended, or Institutionally Withdrawn status.
What happens next?
Upon submitting the re-evaluation, the student’s Academic Progress Report will update accordingly to reflect any changes made to the student’s academic record.
