Technology

Please Note: As of January 8, 2018, Smith Auditorium is completely digital. All analog components including VHS and LaserDisc have been removed.

Instructor/Podium Station

  • Dual-boot Mac Mini providing OS X and Windows operating systems
    • Note: HDMI and Ethernet connnections are available at instructor's station.
  • Apple SuperDrive
  • 17" flat-panel monitor

A/V Technologies

  • Projector
    • Booth-mounted, Panasonic PT-RZ770 Hi-Definition Laser Projector running natively at 1080p with 7200 Lumens of brightness
  • Fully digital AV system including Crestron touch panels in the closet (in the rack), on the podium and in the projection booth
  • Oppo UDP-203 4K decks: Capable of 4K, multi-region Blu-ray, standard DVD and audio files.
    • Note: Players are located in the AV closet that houses the AV rack.
  • 7.1 digital surround sound with a 15" subwoofer under the stage
  • Digital Document Camera
  • In-house event capture through AV Services
  • Voice re-enforcement if requested
  • Hearing Assist headphones
