Manage or add Duo devices

Information

We have provided a tool that will allow you to manage your devices for Duo 2-step Authentication. The tool is accessible from both on and off campus. 

Log in to MyDuoDevices

  • Navigate to https://myduodevices.bowdoin.edu/
  • Choose Call Me, Enter a Passcode, or Send me a push to enter the site (Some options may not be available until you've activated them.)
  • If you are not receiving your default method from Duo to your phone, then tap Cancel and choose Call Me.  Follow the prompts.

Adding Devices

If you have a new phone or want to add and additional device such as a landline or a second mobile device

  • Log in to MyDuoDevices
  • Click on the link "Add Another Device"
  • Follow the steps on screen to add the additional device.

Reactivating a Device

If you have a new phone and the same phone number you can now reactivate your new device at the following page:  https://myduodevices.bowdoin.edu/

  • Log in to MyDuoDevices as referenced above (in Login to MyDuoDevices)
  • Locate the device with your phone number listed and click Device Options (on a mobile device click the Settings Wheel)
  • Another set of options will appear. Click on Reactivate Duo Mobile
  • Follow the steps on screen to reactivate your device with Duo.

Need a Bypass Code

If you have a Bowdoin College entry in the Duo App on your phone 

  • In the Duo App, tap on Bowdoin College,
  • A code that can be used to authenticate on your computer appears here.
  • Just choose the option for Enter a Passcode in the Duo authentication screen on your computer to enter the code
  • You can continue to use this code if your cell phone does not have a way to receive the other options

If you Do Not have a Bowdoin College entry in the Duo App on your phone and your phone has either an active Cellular or WiFi connection:

  • Log into https://MyDuoDevices.bowdoin.edu above as referenced there.
  • Reactivate your device as referenced above
  • This will add in the Bowdoin College entry in the Duo App as referenced above
  • Now you can follow, as referenced above, "If you have a Bowdoin College entry in the Duo App on your phone

If you Do Not have a Bowdoin College entry in the Duo App on your phone and your phone Does Not have an active Cellular or WiFi connection:

  • Please call the Bowdoin IT Service Desk at 207-725-3030, thank you.
