How to Disconnect/Connect Bluetooth devices that have already been paired

There may times your Bluetooth device is not communicating with your iPad. Usually disconnecting and reconnecting that device will fix the issue.

Answer

The following instructions will walk you through disconnecting and reconnecting devices that have already been paired to your iPad

Disconnecting

  1.  Open the "Settings" app, and then select Bluetooth.
  2.  Choose the device you would like to unpair.  Tap on the info button ⓘ next to the device name and tap "Forget this Device".

Connecting

  1. Open the "Settings" app. 
  2. Locate Bluetooth and turn it on by tapping on the white dot next to Bluetooth. Once enabled (the dot’s background will become green), you should see a list of devices appear on the screen . If you can not find your accessory, you may need to turn Bluetooth and the device off and then back on. If you are still not seeing your device, check the instructions that came with your accessory or contact the manufacturer.
  3. Tap on the device you want to pair your iPad with. Depending on the device, you may need to enter the PIN to complete pairing.
