How do I open the TeamDynamix app?
The TeamDynamix app is already installed on your Bowdoin computer. It replaces the older KeyAccess software. You do not need to install anything.
On a Mac: open the Applications folder and open TeamDynamix. You may also see a TeamDynamix icon in the menu bar at the top right of your screen, near the clock, that opens it with one click.
On a Windows computer: open Control Panel and choose TeamDynamix. You may also see a TeamDynamix icon in the task tray at the bottom right of your screen, near the clock. You might need to click the small arrow there to show hidden icons.
When the app opens, the connection status shows in the upper left. If it says you are not connected, click Logon and wait up to a minute before trying your request.
How do I submit a request to IT from the app?
- Open the TeamDynamix app using the steps above.
- Choose Request Assistance.
- Fill in a short summary of what you need, then describe the problem or request in more detail.
- Add any attachments that help, such as a photo of an error message.
- Submit your request.
Your request goes to IT as a ticket. You do not need to repeat any details the app already knows about your computer, such as its name or model.
When you choose Request Assistance, the app may also offer a quick fix you can run yourself for a common problem. If one is available and it solves the issue, you are done. If not, go ahead and send your request.
What should I include in my request?
The more you tell us up front, the faster we can help. A good request usually answers:
- What is happening: describe the problem or what you are trying to do.
- When it started: note if it began after an update, a move, or a specific action.
- What you have already tried: for example, restarting the computer.
- How to reach you: the best phone number or time if a call would help.
If you see an error message, a photo or screenshot of it is a big help.
What happens after I submit a request?
You get a confirmation that your request was received, and IT follows up with you. We own your request from the moment it reaches us and stay with it until it is resolved.
The app can also alert IT on its own if it detects a serious hardware problem on your computer, such as a failing disk or a battery near the end of its life. When that happens, we can reach out to you before a small issue becomes a bigger one. The app monitors the health of the device itself. It does not read your files.
What are the other ways to reach IT?
The TeamDynamix app is one way to reach us. You can also use any of the options in the Additional Help section below. Use whichever is easiest for you.
