Electronic Classroom (ECR)

Summary

The ECR is a classroom which provides faculty the flexibility of instructing students in a classroom environment, while at the same time allowing them to bring technology use into their coursework. The space is designed to help faculty and students give elaborate audio and video presentations.

Location: Basement of Hawthorne-Longfellow Library.
Hours: Available when the Library is open.
Room Type: Classroom.
Seating Capacity: 25.

Instructor/Podium Station:

  • Mac Mini providing macOS and a virtual Windows operating system.

    A/V Technologies:

    • Dual Projectors:
      • Ceiling Mounted, capable of resolutions up to 1920 x 1080p.
    • Rack-mount A/V controls under the instructor station.
    • Region Free Blu-Ray/DVD/CD deck.
    • Room Audio.
    • Ceiling mounted Digital Document Camera.
    • Vocal reinforcement Instructor - Yes, Sennheiser lav mic at podium.

    Additional Information:

    • A wall-mounted whiteboards is centered at the front of the room and does not extend behind the drop-down projector screens
    • Pull-down window shades
