Setting up a GoBoard Pro online interactive canvas and video conferencing tool


A GoBoard is an online tool that combines video conferencing with an interactive canvas, designed to help students collaborate one-on-one, on virtually any topic. Create a GoBoard, share the link, and begin sharing knowledge, face-to-face.

Accessing GoBoard

How to create and access a GoBoard:

  1. Open a web browser and go to
  2. As an instructor you can create a GoBoard room by clicking "Create a new GoBoard."

  3. On the next screen, selecting "I'm a Tutor".​​​​​​​

  4. Next enter "Bowdoin" in the "Select School" box.​​​​​​​

  5. You will be prompted you to login using either a Facebook account, A Google account, or creating a new Tutor Matching Service account (the company that owns GoBoard). Every Bowdoin faculty, staff and student has access to a Google account with their Bowdoin credentials, so go ahead and use the Google option.

  6. Enter your Bowdoin email address​​​​​​​ and click ​​​​​​​Next

  7. Choose G Suite Account

  8. Login with your Bowdoin username and password. You will also see the DUO Security page.​​​​​​​

  9. You will be prompted to enable your camera and microphone.

  10. You can either enter the GoBoard on your own or you can invite someone to join you

  11. You are now in your GoBoard. Each go board has a unique code associated with it. You can copy the URL for the GoBoard and share it to enable others to join your GoBoard

  12. When you have finished your GoBoard session remember to access the "More Tools' area and select "End Session", or "Logout"
