Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin community members using a Bowdoin-managed Claude account.

  • Who: Students, faculty, and staff who have been granted access to the Claude apps and tools.
  • What: Projects, Cowork, and Claude Code on a Team or Enterprise (Work) plan.
  • Not in scope: How to request access — see Getting access to Claude in the Related Articles section.

Resolution

Projects

Projects are available. When you migrate from a personal account, your projects, project instructions, project files, and sync configurations (the Drive folders and repositories a project syncs) come with you. You may need to re-authorize the underlying connector after migrating.

Cowork

Cowork is available on Team and Enterprise plans. A few things to know:

  • Projects created through or used with Cowork migrate along with your other projects.
  • Cowork tasks and session history do not migrate, and anything Cowork stored locally on your computer (session data and connected folders) stays on your machine.
  • Copy anything local you want to keep after you migrate.

Claude Code

Claude Code is available with a Bowdoin account. Your Claude Code memory and personal settings (such as tool settings, notification preferences, and consents) migrate, unless your Bowdoin account already has its own values set.

Note: Claude Code cloud sessions (web, scheduled tasks, and mobile) do not migrate. Local Claude Code work on your own machine is unaffected.

What's not available on a Work plan

Publishing is off on Team and Enterprise plans. You can't publish artifacts, and existing public share links stop working permanently after you migrate. Save your own copies of anything you published or shared publicly before migrating.
