Druckenmiller 16 is equipped with audio/visual equipment that allows professors and students to give elaborate presentations in many different formats. The room is equipped with electronic sun and blackout shades and has three screens: an 84" manual screen, a 120" (diagonal) screen, and a 16' widescreen.

Technology

Instructor Station, Podium or Presentation Area:

Presentation Computer: Mac Mini providing Mac OS and a virtual Windows operating system.

Monitor: 21.5" instructor monitor that doubles as the touch panel room controls.

Podium or table: This room does not have a traditional podium. The instructor area is on one end of a long lab counter.

  • Note: HDMI, USB, and Ethernet Laptop/iPad hook-up available at instructor's station.

Webcam: None.

 

Installed Room Audio-Visual (AV) Technologies:

Projector or Display: Traditional Projector (Laser).

  • Ceiling Mounted, native resolution of 1920 x 1200 (1080P).

Projection Screen: Electronically lowered and raised via switch (located in wall cabinet).

AV System Controls: Crestron interactive touch panel controls. The screen doubles as the presenter courtesy monitor.

Blu-Ray System: Region Free Blu-ray player that also plays DVDs and CDs.

  • Note: Located in the AV rack under the table left of the instructor's station.

Audio: Room Audio with wall-mounted front speakers and ceiling recessed.

Room Camera:  Two PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) web cameras (One ceiling mounted to capture the instructor, one wall mounted to capture the audience).

Vocal Reinforcement:

  • Instructor:  Yes - Shure Lavaliere microphone/body pack to room audio with rechargeable dock (Resides on top of the instructor table).
  • Audience:  Yes - Hanging ceiling microphones dispersed throughout the room.
    • NOTE:  The PTZ web cameras, lavaliere and hanging microphones are the primary Zoom/MS Teams devices!

Document Camera:  Ceiling-mounted Digital Document Camera.

Wireless Presentation:  Wireless presentation available via Apple TV.

  • Supports AirPlay for macOS and iPadOS. Use Ditto for Windows.

 

Additional Information:

Writing Surface: Wall-mounted chalkboard.

Shades: Electronic sun and blackout shades.

Lighting: Manual lighting controls.
