Searles 215 is a classroom that offers professors the flexibility of instructing students in a traditional setting, while at the same time allowing them to bring technology into their instruction. The classroom is designed to help professors and students give elaborate multimedia presentations.
Location: Searles Science Center, Room 215.
Hours: Open by reservation.
Room Type: Classroom.
Seating Capacity: 49.

Instructor/Podium Station:
- Laptop carry-in only
- Custom made instructor podium with pull-out drawer.
- Note: HDMI, USB, and Ethernet Laptop/iPad hook-up available on the front face of the station.
- Lumen's DC-260 Digital Document Camera.
A/V Technologies:
- Panasonic PT-FRZ570 DLP Laser Projector.
- Ceiling Mounted, native resolution of 1920 x 1200.
- 7", desktop Crestron Interactive Touch Panel Controls.
- Region Free Blu-ray/DVD/CD Player.
- Note: Located in the AV Rack next to instructor's station.
- Room Audio.
- PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) web camera (wall mounted on far side opposite the instructor station).
- Vocal reinforcement Instructor: Yes - Lavaliere microphone/body pack to room audio with rechargeable dock (Resides on top of the AV Rack next to the instructor station).
- Vocal reinforcement Audience: Yes - Hanging ceiling microphones dispersed throughout the room. Catch Box.
- NOTE: The PTZ web camera, lavaliere and hanging microphones are the primary Zoom/MS Teams devices!
Wireless Presentation: Yes. Apple TV with Ditto supports AirPlay from macOS, iPadOS, and Windows (with Ditto software).
