Log in to the LinkedIn Learning Mobile App

Step-by-step instructions for signing in to the LinkedIn Learning mobile app with a Bowdoin account using the organizational portal option. Explains the single sign-on process and the optional step of connecting a personal LinkedIn account. Applies to all current Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students.

Environment

This article applies to all current Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students. It covers signing in to the LinkedIn Learning mobile app on a phone or tablet. To sign in from a web browser instead, see Log in to LinkedIn Learning from a Web Browser in the Related Articles section.

Resolution

1. Download the LinkedIn Learning mobile app from your mobile device's app store.
2. Launch the LinkedIn Learning app.
3. On the main screen, tap Sign in with your organizational portal.
4. On the line that says Enter your organization's name or domain, type bowdoin.edu and then tap Sign in with your organizational portal.
5. Tap Continue.
6. Enter your Bowdoin email address and password into Bowdoin's single sign-on portal page.
7. When you log in for the first time, you have the option to link a LinkedIn account to your LinkedIn Learning profile.
   Note: You do not have to have a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning. There are benefits to linking a personal LinkedIn account if you do have one. See the Additional Resources section for details.
   1. If you choose to join your LinkedIn account, tap Connect my Linkedin account.
      1. You will be asked to log in again. This is the log in for your LinkedIn account and NOT your Bowdoin account.
      2. If you join your LinkedIn account, you will see a double entry any time you log out and back in to LinkedIn Learning: one for your Bowdoin account and one for your LinkedIn account.
   2. If you choose NOT to join your LinkedIn account, tap Continue without Linkedin.
      1. You may be presented a small popup asking you again, just to be sure.
8. Once all usernames and passwords are entered, you will be logged in to LinkedIn Learning and be at your own personal home page.
