Mailbox Migration to Office 365 Exchange Online

Select Bowdoin mailboxes will be migrated from our on-premises email system to Office 365 Exchange Online.  

Some benefits of Microsoft Exchange Online and Office 365 include:

  • An enhanced and accessible interface for email, calendar, and contacts.
  • Increased email and calendar storage space to 50GB per user.
  • Integration with One Drive for Business cloud storage, Skype for Business and Teams for collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to continue using the Outlook and Apple Mail desktop applications to access your Bowdoin email.
  • The Outlook app provides a great email experience on your iOS, Android or Windows mobile devices.
  • Reliability and constant uptime.  
  • New features and updates delivered on a regular basis.

After your mailbox moves, your mobile phone and computer will not receive new email until you:

If you receive a redirect page when you log in to Webmail.bowdoin.edu, your mailbox migration is complete.  
You may receive an error saying "Something went wrong".  If so: Clear your web browser’s cache and cookies and restart your browser or go to Office365.bowdoin.edu.
After your account has been migrated, access your email using the Office 365 Mail App at office365.bowdoin.edu.

If your mailbox was migrated to Office 365, you need to make the changes listed below to continue using your preferred email clients.
