Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin faculty and staff whose Bowdoin-issued computer is backed up with Druva inSync. inSync Web works from any web browser and lets you download your backed-up files even when the backed-up device is not in your possession.
Resolution
inSync Web allows you to gain access to and download your files in case of accidental deletion, or when you need access to a file on a backed-up device that is not in your possession.
- Browse to inSync Web at
https://cloud.druva.com/home
- Enter your full Bowdoin email address, leave the password blank, and click Login.
- Authenticate through Bowdoin's Okta single sign-on.
- On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed in the left pane.
- From the list of data sources on the left panel, select the device from which you want to download data. Alternatively, you can use Search to search for files that you want to download.
- In the Snapshots list, click the snapshot from which you want to download data. Alternatively, you can use Search to search for files that you want to download.
- Browse the folders and select the files or folders that you want to download, and then click the Download Selected button.
- Save the file or folder to the desired location.
- inSync downloads the selected files and folders in .zip format.
