Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin faculty and staff whose Bowdoin-issued computer is backed up with Druva inSync. inSync Web works from any web browser and lets you view your backups even when the backed-up device is not in your possession.
Resolution
inSync Web allows you to gain access to and download your files in case of accidental deletion, or when you need access to a file on a backed-up device that is not in your possession.
- Browse to inSync Web at
https://cloud.druva.com/home
- Enter your full Bowdoin email address, leave the password blank, and click Login.
- Authenticate through Bowdoin's Okta single sign-on.
- On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed in the left pane.
- From the list of data sources (computers) on the left panel, select the device whose backups you want to view. Most people will have only one data source, and it will be the name of their primary computer.
- You will see Snapshots in the column just to the right of your data sources. From here, you can select from a point in time over the past 3 months.
- Select any of the days from the list, and you will then be able to browse through your backed-up items.
