Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students using LibreChat in a web browser on desktop or laptop. Resolution

Share a conversation

Sharing a conversation creates a link that other Bowdoin LibreChat users can open. Useful for:

  • Collaboration — sharing an AI-assisted draft or analysis for feedback
  • Demonstrating a prompt or workflow — letting others replicate or adapt an approach that worked well
  • Reporting issues — sharing the exact conversation when reporting unexpected AI behaviour to IT support

To share a conversation, use either method:

Method 1 — From the conversation window

  1. Open the conversation you want to share.
  2. Click the Share/Export icon in the upper-right corner of the chat window.
Share icon in the upper-right corner of the LibreChat conversation window.
  3. Copy the generated link and send it to the person you want to share it with. They must be signed in with Bowdoin SSO to open it.

Method 2 — From the chat history panel

  1. In the left-hand chat history panel, hover over the conversation title.
  2. Click the (More) menu and select Share.
Share option in the chat history context menu.
  3. Copy the generated link.

View and delete shared links

  1. Click your name in the bottom-left corner of LibreChat.

  3. Click Manage next to Shared Links.
