Jewett Hall, Seminar Room, Room 102

Jewett Hall 102 is a seminar room that offers professors the flexibility of instructing students in a comfortable setting, while at the same time allowing them to bring technology into their instruction. The space is designed to help professors and students give elaborate multimedia presentations.

Hours: Open by reservation.
Room Type: Classroom.

Technology

 

Instructor Station, Podium or Presentation Area:

Presentation Computer:  This room does not have an instructor computer, it is laptop carry-in only.

Podium or Table:  AirTouch sit/stand instructor desk (Push the lever to gently raise or lower the desk to suit your needs).

  • Note: HDMI, USB, and Ethernet Laptop/iPad hook-up available at instructor's station.

Webcam:  Owl Labs Meeting Owl conference camera (on student tables).

 

Installed Room Audio-Visual (AV) Technologies:

Projector or Display:  86" LED LCD TV.

AV System Controls:  Wall mounted Crestron touch panel controls (Right of instructor station).

Blu-Ray/DVD/CD System: There is no Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player in this room.  A player can be made available upon request.

Vocal Reinforcement:

  • Instructor:  Yes - Shure Lavaliere microphone/body pack to room audio with rechargeable dock (Resides on top of the AV Rack).
  • Audience:  Yes - Shure linear array wall mounted microphone.
    • NOTE:  The PTZ web camera, lavaliere and wall mounted microphone are the primary Zoom/MS Teams devices!

Document Camera: Lumens Document camera (on top of AV rack).

Room Camera: There is an AV integrated ceiling-mounted room camera.

  • Note:  This camera is the primary camera for Teams and Zoom.

Wireless Presentation: Wireless presentation available via Apple TV.

  • Supports AirPlay for macOS and iPadOS. Use Ditto for Windows.

 

Additional Information

Writing Surface:  3 wall-mounted whiteboards.

Shades: Manual pull-down window shades.

Lighting: Manual lighting controls.
