Setting up Okta Verify if app has been deleted

Question

  • I deleted the Okta app on my phone but then realized I need it.
  • I accidentally deleted the Okta Verify app from my phone.

Environment

Mobile device where Okta Verify has been deleted.

Resolution

If you have set up the use of a finger print (Touch ID) or other biometric (FaceID, Windows Hello), or setup something like Google Authenticator, in addition to Okta Verify, then you can log in to the Okta portal and add your new device or restore Okta Verify.

  • If you do not have other factors available, you must contact the Service Desk by phone at (207) 725-3030 during regular business hours, Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST or come to the Tech Hub in person. 
    • We can not assist resetting any factor, including phones, by email or through chat.
