Environment
This article is for Bowdoin College students, faculty, and staff using Bowdoin-owned or personal computers running macOS or Windows with Adobe Creative Cloud apps installed. It applies whether you need to uninstall a single Adobe app or the entire Creative Cloud suite. Users on Bowdoin-managed devices may require temporary administrator access using Privileges (macOS) or Make Me Admin (Windows).
Resolution
- If you need administrator rights:
- Uninstalling a single Adobe app:
- Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app. If you don’t have it, you can find it in Jamf Self Service for macOS or via the Company Portal for Windows.
- Go to the “Apps” tab to see all installed Adobe applications.
- Find the app you wish to remove and click the three dots (…) next to it.
- Select “Uninstall” and follow the on-screen steps.
- To uninstall all Adobe Creative Cloud apps:
- Open the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
- Repeat the uninstall process above for each Adobe app listed under "Installed."
- After removing all apps, you can uninstall the Creative Cloud Desktop app itself:
- On Windows: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Select “Adobe Creative Cloud,” then click “Uninstall.”
- On macOS: Run Privileges, open Finder, go to Applications, then open the “Adobe Creative Cloud” folder. Run the Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud app. If prompted, follow on-screen instructions.
