Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin College students, faculty, and staff who need to install the Adobe Creative Cloud app. It covers Bowdoin-issued Mac computers, Bowdoin-issued Windows computers, and personal (non-Bowdoin) computers. Your Bowdoin account must be active to sign in to Adobe Creative Cloud.

Resolution

On a Bowdoin-issued Mac

  1. Open the Self Service app on your Mac.
  2. Search for Adobe Creative Cloud.
  3. Select the app and click Install.
  4. Once installed, open Adobe Creative Cloud from your Applications folder.
  5. Sign in using your Bowdoin email address and follow any on-screen prompts. If asked, choose Company or School Account.
  6. Browse the Apps tab and click Install next to each Adobe app you need.

On a Bowdoin-issued Windows computer

  1. Open the Company Portal app.
  2. Search for Adobe Creative Cloud.
  3. Select it and click Install.
  4. If prompted for administrator permissions, open the Make Me Admin app to grant yourself temporary admin access, then retry the installation.
  5. Once installed, open Adobe Creative Cloud from the Start menu.
  6. Sign in with your Bowdoin email address. If asked, choose Company or School Account.
  7. Browse the Apps tab and click Install next to each Adobe app you need.

On a personal (non-Bowdoin) computer

  1. Go to creativecloud.adobe.com and click Sign In.
  2. Enter your Bowdoin email address. If prompted, choose Company or School Account.
  3. Sign in using your Bowdoin credentials at the Okta login page.
  4. Download the Adobe Creative Cloud installer for your operating system.
  5. Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
  6. Once installed, use the Creative Cloud app to install individual Adobe apps as needed.
Getting a licensing error? Bowdoin has a limited number of Adobe licenses. If you see a message asking you to request access, use the link in the message to submit a request to the Service Desk.
