Resolution

Which iPad do you have? Bowdoin-issued iPad minis (6th generation and later) and iPad Pro models do not have a Home button. Older iPad mini (5th generation) models have a circular Home button on the front of the device.

Restart an iPad without a Home button (current iPad mini and iPad Pro)

  1. Press and hold either the Volume Up or Volume Down button and the Top button at the same time until the slide to power off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to the right and wait about 30 seconds for the iPad to turn off completely.
  3. To turn the iPad back on, press and hold the Top button until the Apple logo appears.
