Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students who would like a new group created in Campus Groups. Groups in Campus Groups cannot be created by end users — all new groups require assistance from Information Technology.
Resolution
If your department or organization is interested in using Campus Groups, follow these steps:
- Take a short tour of CampusGroups (approximately 13 minutes) to familiarize yourself with the platform's core features.
- Complete a service request through the Service Catalog to provide details about how you plan to use the platform. A member of the Service Desk team will contact you within a few business days to discuss setup.
Group officer roles
Each department or organization can have a maximum of 3 officers. Officers can:
- Manage group membership
- Create sub-groups within your group
- Create and manage events
- Send notifications and emails to group members
- Create forms and surveys
- Report on group activity
- Tag users and award badges
