Environment

This article applies to students residing in campus housing who want to watch Xfinity on Campus from an Apple TV in their college room. Students living off campus and faculty and staff do not have access.

Resolution

To watch on a large-screen TV you need a TV with Roku built in, or an Apple TV or Roku streaming device. If you already own an Apple TV, follow the steps below.

Connect the Apple TV to the Bowdoin network

  1. Plug the Apple TV into an available Ethernet port in your room, or register and connect it to the BOWDOIN-PSK network.
  2. Connect the Apple TV to your television, following the Apple TV's instructions.

Download and install the Xfinity Stream app

  1. Open the App Store and search for Xfinity Stream.
  2. Download Xfinity Stream (sign in with your Apple ID if prompted).
  3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in with your Bowdoin account.
