Environment

This article applies to anyone who encounters an archived Panopto video, including students, faculty, and staff. Videos may be archived by their owner or automatically through Bowdoin's Panopto storage management policy, which archives infrequently viewed content to keep storage within limits. Archived videos retain their original permissions — viewers can only restore videos they already have access to, and must be signed in.

Restoration takes up to 48 hours. Once a restore is initiated, the video will not be immediately viewable. The process can take up to 48 hours to complete.
