Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students who have been assigned Adobe Pro licensing. Generative credits are used when accessing Adobe Firefly-powered AI tools across Adobe products, including Generative Fill in Photoshop and Text to Vector in Illustrator. Generative credits are not available on all public or shared Bowdoin computers.

Resolution

Check your generative credit balance

  1. Go to the Adobe Account page and sign in with your Bowdoin email address.
  2. Click your avatar image in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Look for the Monthly Generative Credits section under your current plan details.
  4. Your remaining credits and renewal date are displayed here.
Credits reset automatically. Generative credits renew each month on the date shown in your account. You do not need to take any action — simply wait for the renewal date and your credits will be restored.
The Service Desk cannot add extra credits. Bowdoin IT is unable to provide additional generative credits outside of the standard monthly allocation. If you run out before your renewal date, you will need to wait until the next renewal cycle.
