Environment
This article applies to all Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff who need to submit a new photo or update their existing photo for their OneCard ID and the Bowdoin Online Directory. Both images are managed through the same upload — submitting a photo updates both your physical ID card and your directory listing.
- Applies to: All Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff
- Platform: Bowdoin OneCard Web Center — accessible from any browser on any device
Resolution
- Log in to the Bowdoin OneCard Web Center.
- Click Submit ID Photo to go to the photo upload page.
- Review the photo requirements carefully before uploading. Photos must meet specific standards (lighting, background, framing) to be accepted.
- Upload your photo. Depending on your device, you can either:
- Choose an existing photo file from your device, or
- Take a new photo using your device's camera.
- Once uploaded, use the cropping tool to adjust the framing if needed. If in doubt, don't crop too tightly — OneCard staff will review and crop further as needed.
- When you are satisfied with the photo, click the green Submit button to send it for approval.
Note: Submitted photos are reviewed by OneCard staff before being applied to your ID card and directory listing. You will be notified if the photo does not meet the requirements and needs to be resubmitted.
