Resolution
To set up your macOS desktop to extend or mirror to another display, follow these simple steps:
- Connect the Display: Connect your additional display to your Mac using an appropriate cable or wireless method. Ensure both devices are turned on.
- Open System Settings: Click on the Apple menu located on the top left corner of your screen and select "System Settings".
- Access Displays Settings: In the System Settings window, choose "Displays" from the left-hand sidebar. This will show you settings related to your connected displays.
- Select Arrangement: Within the Displays settings, you will see options for display arrangement:
- Extend Display: Drag and drop the display icon to position it relative to your main screen for extending. This will create an additional workspace.
- Mirror Display: If you want both displays to show the same content, check the "Mirror Displays" option. This will duplicate your main screen onto the connected display.
- Adjust Settings: You can also fine-tune each display's resolution and other settings by selecting the specific display and adjusting the options provided.
