How to log in to Linkedin Learning in a web browser

Linkedin Learning is available to all current faculty, staff and students. You can log in to Linkedin Learning from any web browser or from the Linkedin Learning mobile app. 

First-Time Login to Linkedin Learning

The first time you log in to Linkedin Learning, you will have the option to either create a Linkedin account and link it to your Learing account or link an existing Linkedin Learning account to your Learning account. There are benefits to linking your accounts and we would recommend you do so, but this is not a requirement to use the platform.

  1. Open your favorite web browser and go to https://login.bowdoin.edu
  2. Enter your Bowdoin email address and password.
  3. If you are off campus, you will need to authenticate to Duo 2-Factor authentication.
  4. Locate and click on the Linkedin Learning application in the login portal.
  5. When you log in for the first time, you have the option to link a Linkedin account to your Linkedin Learning profile. If you have a Linkedin account, we recommend that you do connect the two.

    Connect Linkedin account with Linkedin Learning.
     
    1. If you choose to join your Linkedin account, click Connect my Linkedin account
      1. You will be asked to log in again. This is the log in for your LInkedin account and NOT your Bowdoin account.
    2. If you choose NOT to join your Linkedin account, click Continue without Linkedin.
      1. You may be presented a small popup asking you again, just to be sure.
  6. If you have previously linked your Linkedin account to your Linkedin Learning account, enter your Linkedin password when requested. Click Continue.
  7. Once logged in you will be redirected to your own personal Linkedin Learning home page.

Subsequent Logins to Linkedin Learning

  1. Open your favorite web browser and go to https://login.bowdoin.edu
  2. Enter your Bowdoin email address and password.
  3. If you are off campus, you will need to authenticate to Duo 2-Factor authentication.
  4. Locate and click on the Linkedin Learning application in the login portal.
  5. If you had linked your Linkedin account to your Learning account, you will be asked to log in to your Linkedin account.
    1. You will be asked to log in again. This is the log in for your LInkedin account and NOT your Bowdoin accountClick Continue.
  6. Once logged in you will be redirected to your own personal Linkedin Learning home page.

Direct Login to Linkedin Learning

You can login to Linkedin Learning from their website directly without going to the Bowdoin application portal.

  1. Open your favorite web browser and go to https://linkedin.com/learning
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Sign in
  3. Under the Sign in button.
  4. Enter your full Bowdoin email address in the box provided and click Continue
  5. (Optional) If you have a Linkedin account and you've already linked it to your Linkedin Learning account, you will be prompted to provide your Linkedin password. Click Continue when done.
  6. Click the button that says Sign in with Single Sign-On
  7. Sign in to Okta single sign-on if prompted (note that you may not be prompted for this part if you have logged in to a different service that supports single sign-on such as Workday)
  8. If you are not on campus, you will need to authenticate to Duo 2-Factor authentication.
  9. When you log in for the first time, you have the option to link a Linkedin account to your Linkedin Learning profile. If you have a Linkedin account, we recommend that you do connect the two.
     
  10. If you choose to join your Linkedin account, click Connect my Linkedin account
    1. You will be asked to log in again. This is the log in for your LInkedin account and NOT your Bowdoin account.
    2. If you join your Linkedin account, you will see a double-entry anytime you log out and back in to Linkedin Learning.
  11. If you choose NOT to join your Linkedin account, click Continue without Linkedin.
    1. You may be presented a small popup asking you again, just to be sure.
  12. Once all usernames and passwords are entered, you will be logged in to Linkedin Learning and be at your own personal home page.
