  • The room must be equipped with an Apple TV running the Ditto Receiver app.
  • The Ditto (Ditto Connect) app must be installed or run on the Windows laptop.

Resolution

Clients with Windows laptops can present wirelessly in classrooms and conference rooms equipped with an Apple TV that has the Ditto Receiver app installed. Follow these steps to install Ditto and connect.

Install the Ditto app on a Windows laptop

On a Bowdoin-issued computer:

  1. Open Company Portal.
  2. Find Ditto and click Install.
  3. Wait a few moments for the Ditto app to install.

On a non-Bowdoin computer, or if Ditto does not appear in Company Portal:

  1. Open the Ditto Receiver app on the Apple TV.
  2. On your laptop, go to connect.goditto.com in a web browser.
  3. Enter the room code displayed in the room on the Apple TV.
  4. Click Connect once the room code is verified.
Not installed yet? If the app is not installed, you will be given directions to download it. You can install the full app if you are an administrator on your computer (or run MakeMeAdmin first), or you can download a temporary version of the Ditto Connect app.

Use Ditto to present your materials

  1. On the Apple TV, make sure the Ditto Receiver app is open. If not, use the Apple TV remote to navigate to it and press the large round button to open it.
  2. From your laptop, open Ditto.
  3. On the screen provided, enter the words shown on the Apple TV (projected in the room).
  4. If prompted, enter the room code again. When ready, click Start Sharing.
