Environment

  • Staff, faculty, and students who want to present wirelessly in a classroom from a Windows laptop using the Ditto Connect app.
  • The Ditto Connect app must already be installed on the Windows laptop (see the related install article).
  • The classroom or space must have an Apple TV running Ditto. Windows cannot use AirPlay natively, so Ditto Connect is required.

Resolution

Windows does not include native AirPlay, so the Ditto Connect app is used to present wirelessly to a classroom Apple TV. The following instructional video walks you through connecting and disconnecting a Windows laptop using Ditto Connect.

Note: Ditto uses the room code shown on the classroom display. Open Ditto Connect, enter that code, and choose to present.
