Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin College students, faculty, and staff who need to install the Adobe Creative Cloud app on Bowdoin-issued Macs, Windows computers, or personal computers. System requirements include an up-to-date version of macOS or Windows, and an active Bowdoin account for access.
Resolution
- For Bowdoin-issued Mac computers:
- Open the Self Service app on your Mac.
- Search for “Adobe Creative Cloud.”
- Select the Adobe Creative Cloud app, then click Install.
- Once installed, open Adobe Creative Cloud from your Applications folder.
- Sign in using your Bowdoin email address and follow any on-screen instructions.
- For Bowdoin-issued Windows computers:
- Open the Company Portal app.
- Search for “Adobe Creative Cloud.”
- Select Adobe Creative Cloud and click Install.
- If prompted for admin permissions, use the Make Me Admin tool to grant yourself temporary admin access.
- Once installation is complete, open Adobe Creative Cloud from your Start menu.
- Sign in with your Bowdoin email address and follow the on-screen steps.
- For personal computers (not issued by Bowdoin):
- Go to the Adobe Creative Cloud website.
- Click Sign In and enter your Bowdoin email address. Select “Company or School Account” if prompted.
- After logging in, download the Adobe Creative Cloud installer for your operating system.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install the Creative Cloud app.
- Once installed, use the Creative Cloud app to install other Adobe applications as needed.
