Environment
This article applies to current Bowdoin College faculty, staff, and students who have been granted access to LibreChat. LibreChat is currently in a pilot program and is available on Bowdoin-managed devices or personal devices through a web browser. Clients must log in with their Bowdoin username and password, and use multi-factor authentication for access.

Logging In to LibreChat
Note: Students must first complete the Generate AI Ethics course in Canvas before being allowed to access LibreChat for the first time.
LibreChat can be accessed in one of 2 ways.
- Directly from https://librechat.bowdoin.edu.
- Click the Login with Bowdoin SSO button.

- If not already signed in, you will be prompted to authenticate using Bowdoin multi-factor authentication.

- By selecting the LibreChat tile at https://login/bowdoin.edu

First Time Login
The first time you log in to LibreChat you will be prompted to accept the Terms of Service:

Once you are logged in you will see the LibreChat web interface. It is divided up into 3 main sections:
- Left hand chat history and user settings column
- Central chat interface/model selection section
- Right hand customization column
