Lists the baseline (minimum) software installed on all Mac OS classroom and computer lab computers at Bowdoin, including the macOS version, Apple and Microsoft Office productivity apps, academic applications, media players, browsers, and clicker software. The image is updated each summer, so versions may change year to year. Applies to faculty, staff, and students using Mac lab and classroom computers.

Introduced in the fall of 2015, the Media Commons brings together the former Scratch Space with the former Language Media Center into one new, larger, more useable space. The Media Commons features 10 iMac computers for student use, multiple video viewing workstations, a recording studio, a small group work room and a video viewing classroom.

Defines the categories of computer labs at Bowdoin—public, departmental, teaching, research, and specialized/instrument labs—and explains how each is managed, funded, and replaced. Clarifies which labs are on an automatic 4–5 year replacement cycle versus the CAP process, and who is responsible for software. Applies to all Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students who use or manage campus computer labs.
