First Steps
1. Provide your shipping information -
Student shipping addresses have already been collected. If you are enrolled for the fall semester and have NOT provided a shipping address, please email the Service Desk at servicedesk@bowdoin.edu as soon as possible.
2. Create an Apple ID -
All faculty and students will required an Apple ID in order to download apps from the App store.
All International students and Faculty will require a US Apple ID in order to download apps provided or recommended by the College.
Information on how to create an Apple ID can be found in the knowledge base.
3. Receive and setup your iPad and accessories -
iPads shipped to students living in the US will be shipped from Bowdoin's shipping partner, SHI. Students will receive a tracking number and ETA from SHI when the iPads ship.
Students coming to campus who will not be at their residence during the shipping windows and who have identified themselves will have their iPads shipped to campus. Information Technology will provide information on when and how to safely pick up your iPad.
International students will have their iPads shipped to the address they have provided. Due to international shipping and customs processing times, the iPads may not arrive for the start of the semester.
Once your iPad arrives, unbox it and follow the steps in the knowledge base to set it up.
