Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff who use RStudio Server Pro. RStudio Server Pro is a web-based, graphical development environment for writing and running R code.

  • RStudio Server Pro is available on the web at https://rstudio.bowdoin.edu.
  • Sign in with your Bowdoin login account, not your email address. For example, use jsmith, not jsmith@bowdoin.edu.
Off campus? You must connect to the Bowdoin VPN service before you can reach the RStudio Server Pro web page. See Setting Up the VPN on Your Computer or iPad in the Related Articles section.

Resolution

  1. If you are off campus, connect to the Bowdoin VPN service first.
  2. Using the web browser on your computer or iPad, go to https://rstudio.bowdoin.edu and log in with your Bowdoin login account. Do not type @bowdoin.edu after your login account. If your account is jsmith, type only jsmith with nothing after it.
