Environment

This article applies to anyone who receives a survey request from Information Technology (IT) or another Bowdoin department. The ticketing platform used by IT and other departments has a built-in ability to send and process small surveys. These aim to gauge client satisfaction, service level, or overall happiness with IT (or other department) experiences. Surveys are generally not anonymous, though some anonymous surveys may be created occasionally.

Resolution

If you receive a survey request, we ask that you take time to answer it. Your feedback, both positive and negative, helps improve our services and identify areas needing more focus.

  • Survey frequency: You may not always receive a survey. They are randomly sent out based on certain criteria. Some surveys target clients asking for assistance with specific topics, while others may be sent to a larger sampling of clients.
  • Survey length: All surveys are short. They are intended as a feedback tool and not to burden the client with additional work.

Email Template

Below is the email template used for most IT-related surveys. Other departments may choose their own email template style.
