Environment
The Quiet Hours feature is available in the Teams mobile app only. It lets you define a daily time window and specific days when Teams will not send call or message notifications to your phone.
- Mobile app: iOS and Android
- Desktop alternative: To stop calls from ringing during a meeting or class on your computer, set your status to Do Not Disturb instead — see Set Your Availability to Manage Calls During Meetings in the Related Articles section.
Resolution
- Open the Teams app on your phone and tap your profile picture (or initials) in the top-left corner.
- Tap Notifications.
- Scroll down to the Block notifications section and tap During quiet time.
- Configure your quiet time:
- Quiet hours — toggle on and set the daily start and end times when notifications should be silenced (e.g., 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM).
- Quiet days — toggle on and select specific days of the week to block notifications all day (e.g., Saturday and Sunday).
Done: Teams will automatically stop sending call and message notifications to your phone during the times and days you specified. No manual adjustment needed each day.
Note: Quiet Hours only silences notifications on your phone. If you are signed in to Teams on your computer during quiet hours, notifications on your computer are not affected by this setting.
