Environment
This article applies to anyone responsible for maintaining toner in a Bowdoin department printer:
- Who: Faculty, staff, and department administrators who manage a shared department printer.
- What: Ordering replacement toner cartridges for Ricoh and other supported department printers through the Bowdoin Copy and Print Center.
- Not covered: PaperCut print credits or student print allocation — those are separate. This article covers physical toner for department-owned printers only.
Department responsibility: Toner for department printers is the responsibility of each department to maintain. IT does not automatically supply toner — departments must order it themselves through the process below.
Resolution
Step 1 — Find your printer's model number
Before placing an order, locate the model number of your printer. It is printed on a label on the front of the physical printer. You will need this to select the correct toner in the order form.
Step 2 — Go to the Copy and Print Center website
Open a browser and go to the Bowdoin Copy and Print Center website.

Step 3 — Sign in
Click Order Toner, then sign in with your Bowdoin username and password when prompted.

Step 4 — Start your order
Once signed in, hover over Order Toner in the navigation and select Start Order.

Step 5 — Complete and submit the order form
- Select your printer's model from the Printer Model drop-down.
- Fill out the remaining fields — quantity, delivery details, and any department billing information required.
- Click Submit to place the order.
