Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin departments that want to add a new digital display connected to Carousel. A new sign typically involves a screen, a mount, a power and network connection, and a media player such as an Apple TV or a BrightSign player.

Resolution

1. Open the Service Catalog.
2. Find the Request a New Digital Display offering.
3. Submit the request. To help scope the display, include:
   • The building and specific location for the sign.
   • Your department and a contact person.
   • The orientation you want (landscape or portrait).
   • Whether power and a network connection are already available at the location.
   • The purpose of the display and who will publish to it.
4. IT will follow up to scope the hardware (display and media player), installation, and connection to Carousel.
