Environment
This article applies to anyone using a Mac (such as an iMac or MacBook Pro).
Resolution
The password for your account may not match the password used to unlock the login keychain. This often happens when your password is changed outside of the operating system itself. To correct this issue, either create a new login keychain or reset the password of the existing keychain. Apple's instructions for updating the keychain password are linked in the Additional Resources section below.
