Environment
The Digital Excellence Commitment program aims to provide a common platform for current students to engage with Bowdoin faculty and maintain a consistent set of tools for on-campus study. All students who do not already have a Bowdoin-issued laptop and are taking courses during an academic semester at Bowdoin are eligible for the program.
Program Eligibility
Students eligible for technology under the Digital Excellence Commitment program will receive their technology at different times based on their study schedule.
- Students enrolled at Bowdoin and taking classes on campus in the fall will receive their technology during Orientation or before classes begin for the Fall Semester (2022).
- Students studying abroad in the fall but returning to campus in the spring will receive their technology before the start of the Spring Semester (2023).
- Students studying abroad for the full year but returning to campus the following fall will receive their technology at the start of the next Fall Semester (2023).
- Students studying abroad during the Fall Semester and not returning to Bowdoin (completing their degree while abroad) are not eligible for the program.
- Students who have already received a laptop and an iPad from the college are not eligible.
