- How can I forget the eduroam network in Windows?
Environment
- Windows 11 Computer
- Faculty, staff, or student who can connect to a Bowdoin wireless network
Solution
If a Windows 11 computer can not connect to the BOWDOIN or eduroam wireless (Wi-Fi) networks if they have been able to in the past, often after an update or if there's been a wireless network change, forgetting the saved network and reconnecting may resolve the issue.
- Open Settings (press Windows + i) or click on the Windows menu icon and browse to the Settings app.
- Navigate to Network & Internet and click Wi-Fi then click "Manage Known Networks"
- In the "Manage Known Networks" menu, locate the BOWDOIN or eduroam wi-fi network and click the "Forget" button besides it.
- Navigate to Network & Internet and click Wi-Fi and turn the Wi-Fi slider off and then back on.
- Click "Show available networks", select BOWDOIN or eduroam and click the "Connect" button besides it.
- Click "Connect" to Continue connecting and then authenticate with your Bowdoin email address and password and press "Ok" to connect.
