Information
In order to access many Bowdoin resources while off campus there are two things you'll need to be able to do.
- When you use the VPN client, you will need to have access to your Okta MFA device (usually your mobile phone).
- You will need to have the GlobalProtect from Palo Alto Networks software installed. The software must be downloaded for your operating system and installed. This article will walk you through the installation of the software.
GlobalProtect can not be installed on personal computers while on campus as you can't connect to the software download site from here. If you try, the web page will not load at all. You also can't try to connect to VPN while on campus. If you do, you will receive an error message: The network connection is unreachable or the portal is unresponsive. Check the network connection and reconnect.
