The Picture Study Room is a classroom that offers professors the flexibility of instructing students in a traditional small meeting room  setting, while at the same time allowing them to bring technology into their instruction. The classroom is designed to help professors and students give elaborate multimedia presentations.

Location: Visual Arts Center, Room 102.
Hours: Open by reservation.
Room Type: Classroom.
Seating Capacity: 20.

Technology

Instructor/Podium Station:

  • Mac Mini providing Mac OS and a virtual Windows operating system.
  • 20" Instructor monitor.
  • VGA and Ethernet Laptop/iPad connections available.
  • A list of software for either operating system can be found here.

A/V Technologies:

  • Panasonic PT-RZ870 Hi-Definition Laser Projector.
    • Ceiling mounted, native resolution of 1920 x 1200, 1080p (8500 Lumens of brightness).
  • Extron Push-button System Controller (located on top of the Instructor station).
  • Region Free Blu-ray/DVD/CD Player.
    • Note: Player is located in the wall recessed AV cabinet opposite end of the Instructor station.
  • Room Audio.
  • Vocal reinforcement Instructor:  No.
  • Vocal reinforcement Audience:  No.

Additional Information:

  • 1 wall-mounted chalk board.
