Bowdoin offers all of its students a free license for Microsoft 365 including 1 terabyte of OneDrive cloud storage.

What does the student Office 365 license include?
Microsoft 365 comes with a full and web-based versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote) as well as Teams, OneDrive, Planner, Forms, and much more. Each student can install Office on up to five computers and mobile devices.
The license also includes unlimited access to Microsoft 365 mobile applications on iPhone, Android, and Windows phones.
Where do I download and install Microsoft 365 from?
For personal computers, Install Office and any mobile apps you want at: https://office365.bowdoin.edu.
For Bowdoin-issued computers, Office is available in Self Service for macOS or in the Company Portal app for Windows.
Microsoft OneDrive (1 terabyte of cloud storage)
What does the student OneDrive license include?
1 terabyte of cloud storage. Without the Bowdoin license, OneDrive includes only 5 GB of storage.
How do I get OneDrive?
There is no installation required for OneDrive. Access your account at: https://office365.bowdoin.edu.
Can anyone else access my files on OneDrive?
You control who can access your files on OneDrive. Learn more about sharing files.
Can I get to my OneDrive files offline?
You need to download the files if you want to use them offline. When you are back online, you can sync the files so your online versions match your downloaded versions. Learn more about syncing files.
Can I edit files in OneDrive on a device that doesn’t have Office installed?
You can edit or view files in any browser using Office Online.
What if I already have a OneDrive account?
If OneDrive is set up with a personal email account, that account will not be impacted by your Bowdoin OneDrive account. If your OneDrive account is set up with your Bowdoin email address, contact the Service Desk to learn more about your options.
