What is Handshake?
Handshake is an employer engagement and network service available to Bowdoin Students and Alumni. Handshake provides an easy way to search and apply for jobs or upload information for prospective employers, such as a resume. The Career Exploration and Development (CXD) department will also use this service to post events and job fairs as well as to record appointments with students to review applications, resumes, and job opportunities. Handshake is replacing the Symplicity career networking service.
How can I access Handshake?
Students can log on at bowdoin.joinhandshake.com with a Bowdoin email. Alumni can work with CXD to create a login.
How do I use this service?
Handshake is user friendly, intuitive, and requires little or no guidance. Some general usage guides and videos are available.
I forgot my Handshake Password, can Information Technology reset it?
Information Technology can not reset a Handshake password. We recommend reaching out to Handshake Support for assistance.
