  • Box Drive can be installed in MacOS on Bowdoin managed devices using Self Service.  For more information, see: Installing Software
  • Launch  Self Service from the Applications folder or by searching in Spotlight.
  • In Managed Software Center Search for Box
  • Click Install below Box Drive in the search results.

  • When the installation completes, you will need to enable the Box system extension in System Preferences…
  • Click Open System Preferences and then click Allow

  • When Box Drive opens you will need to log into Box Drive using your full Bowdoin Email address, password and two-factor authentication.
Tip   If you don't see the Box login window, Box Drive may not be running.  In this case, if you're using Launchpad click the Box icon; if you're using Spotlight search for 'Box Drive'.

  • You can access Box Drive by opening Finder.  In the sidebar, navigate to Devices > Favorites > Box.  Open this folder to display all of the contents of your All Files page on Box.com. You can navigate through any folder and open every file you see just as if it were a local file.
