Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin faculty, staff, and students who organize Microsoft Teams meetings. When you create a Teams meeting, you are the organizer and everyone else is a presenter. Presenters can share content during the meeting, admit people from the lobby, and start or stop recordings, so you may want to limit the privileges available to those invited to attend.

Resolution

Once you have created your Teams meeting (to create one, see Create a Microsoft Teams Meeting in the Related Articles section), follow these steps to assign attendees the permissions you want.

  1. Select a meeting that has been created from the Teams calendar icon on the left-hand side of the window.
  2. Once your meeting is displayed, select Meeting options located above the meeting title bar.

  3. A new browser window will open. From here you can select which attendees, if any, can present from the invited participants.
