Environment

This article applies to Bowdoin students and faculty using Explain Everything Whiteboard on a Bowdoin iPad. Explain Everything Whiteboard is used by select classes for online teaching and learning, and access to the app must be requested by a faculty member.

  • Do not create a separate Explain Everything Whiteboard account. Use your Bowdoin email and password instead.

Resolution

Certain features of Explain Everything Whiteboard ask you to log in or create an account. Bowdoin does not have single sign-on tied directly into Explain Everything Whiteboard, but you can still use your Bowdoin email and password to log in through Google, so a separate account is not needed.

  1. When you are prompted to log in, to share an item, or to start a session, choose Sign in with Google.
  2. If you have never logged in to a Google app on your iPad, you will be prompted for an email address.
  3. If you have logged in to a Google app before, you may see an account already listed. If an account is listed, choose Use another account.
  4. Enter your Bowdoin email address and tap Next.
  5. You will be taken to Bowdoin's Single Sign-On page to continue signing in.
