Environment
This article applies to Bowdoin faculty and staff whose departments require copies to be charged to a specific cost center. The process works on any PaperCut-enabled multi-function device (MFD) on campus. You must have permission to access the account you want to charge — contact your department administrator if you need access added, or submit a request through the Service Catalog.
Resolution
-
Go to a PaperCut-enabled MFD and sign in. Tap your Bowdoin OneCard ID on the card reader, or enter your Bowdoin username and password on the touch screen.
-
Tap Device Functions on the main PaperCut screen.

-
If you have access to project codes, tap Select Account and choose the account you want to charge from the list. If you do not need to charge a specific department account, tap Use personal account instead.

-
Tap Copy and proceed with copying as normal. The job will be charged to the selected account when complete.
Note: Charging a copy job to a department account does not deduct money from your OneCard balance. It records copying activity against a department budget or project code for accounting purposes only.
Don't see the account you need? You may not have permission to access it. Contact your department administrator to request access, or submit a request through the
Service Catalog.
